1Choose licence class
You would have to decide which licence class you need to upgrade to. If you intend to drive specific type or class of vehicles and not sure about what licence class you need. We are always a phone call away to assist you with any heavy vehicle licence related enquiry
2Pass knowledge test
After choosing the licence class you would have to pass the appropriate driver knowledge test at Service NSW centre and pass an eye sight test, bring your glasses with you to the centre. You might be required to do a health check. Get all of the above done and you will be issued a logbook.

Once you have passed the DKT and have your logbook issued for your chosen licence class, we handle the rest. We provide dedicated one-on-one training in our late-model trucks, and a fully TfNSW-accredited assessor from our team will conduct your final HVCBA practical driving test. While most students comfortably complete their training and assessment in a single day, we also offer extended training courses if you prefer to take your time and build extra confidence.

Heavy Vehicle Licence Training Courses
Medium Rigid (MR) Truck Licence
For driving 2 axle buses, Tow Trucks, Medium-sized Trucks such as water trucks, Fire Trucks, SES Trucks Small Car Carriers.
Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Licence
For driving 3 axles Bus (Coach), Police Rescue Truck, 10-Wheeler Tipper, Large Truck and trailer not exceeding 9 tons, Articulated Bus (Bendy Bus).
Heavy Combination (HC) Truck Licence
For Driving Articulated vehicles with three or more axles, Heavy rigid vehicle trailer combinations including unladen dolly, with three or more axles, any towed trailer with a GVM of more than nine tonnes.
Multi Combination (MC) Truck Licence
For Driving B-doubles, Prime mover, low loader dolly and low loader trailer combinations, Road trains.
Coach & Bus NSW Bus Driver Authority Training
In NSW, to be able to drive a public passenger vehicle, a Bus Driver Authority is needed. We offer a one-day course for this.
